Thanks for sharing the light.
If they can't come up with a cost efficient way of shielding those numbers this news could change POS development dynamics.
Are there car wash devices that depend on RFID or under development? I know in the self service laundry industry there is an outfit that seems to be putting all their eggs in one basket by way of RFID. Without sowing too many seeds of doubt ----could these POS approaches possibly have the same vulnerability? Operators should be at minimum cautious about anything that has a net effect of going backwards identity theft or other vulnerabilities. Whether going to coin mechs that do not have proper slug protection or now with this latest afterthought about RFIDs.
