I have installed a few with a company that I used to work for. While they cleaned very well, they seemed like a pretty high maintenance machine. I still talk to one of the customers that I installed one for and they said they will never buy another one again. Start up was kind of a pain.
I have only second-hand info on the Freestyler, but it's mostly favorable. It's definitely higher maintenance than a touch-free and has increased rosk of damage to cars, but once they worked out the bugs of the early machines it's been a good one.
I have heard good and bad on bridge type friction units - mostly good. Personally I think gantry friction units do a better job with fewer maintenance issues.
