Wow, this crane operator is not to bright. I rent and use crane's all the time to lift HVAC units, they even have a control on board that tells them if the boom is over loaded or in danger of a fall like this. Not to mention he is supposed to have the crane backed in for a reach like that so he needs to do the lift from the rear....he may be backed in I couldn't tell I would have to watch it again.
