Black mulch

Had customer wash black mulch out of truck bed this morning .
I was there within an hour to clean the bay but had to use paint remover to get stains off the walls.
Straight Hi ph with a brush didn’t phase it.
Was it black dye or is someone adding something else?

Could it have been wood chips soaked in diesel oil? Maybe they used them to absorb a spill.

It's probably dyed black or it could be black tar mixed with mulch. You want to be very careful when using paint remover on the walls, it'll damage the walls if they are plastic. Either way it sucks.
