Any idea on what or where to start looking for a problem that is preventing the boom to drop on the front. It works normally on the rear but on the front will come down ony 2-3 feet then raises back up. I do have an error showing up that says "boom prox B did not change state while boom was moving", but can not understand how it works in the back but not on the front. Thanks!

call al at jim coleman. our last problem with the boom was the count from the top prox or home prox. swap proxs and if problem is the same, change the cable. bottom prox on the boom, which moves white boom.

The plastic bearings could be wearing out that run along the 1" vertical shafts on each side of the boom which can cause enough play in the boom that the prox switches are not seeing the metal flags properly/consistently. Or it could be a bad prox or prox cable....

I have had issues with my boom not coming down but it was a boom safety eye. There is a front and rear safety eye. The rear one is closest to the exit and is the safety eye for the rear of the car. I just had an issue with that eye and it turned out to be a bad cable not the eye. I swapped both eyes (transmitter and receiver) and it didn't fix the problem so I swapped out the cable and that did it. Did you check your permanent error codes to see if there are other errors that may be related? Good luck. Determining if problem is with eyes, proxes, or cables can drive you nuts.
