I was thinking of converting my selfserve pump stand over to use all injectors instead of hydrominders with tanks. My thinking is it would be much easier to try new chemicals or change ratios if I didn't have to drain the hydrominder tank each time and seems like less maintenance and takes up less space. I was thinking of using something like this https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-26895-stainless-steel-chemical-injector-25mm-5-8gpm.aspx

I was thinking of placing one of these just after the pump on the high pressure side and using several solenoids with different metering tips to select the different chemicals or another option would be to use one of these for each chemical.

Does anyone currently do this and do you have any issues with it?

I haven't seen this done with a high pressure pump, but my IBA's use them for the low pressure functions. I agree, would be nicer to get rid of the tanks and hydrominders, and would also be nice not having soap and wax go through the high pressure pumps. Would be interested to hear if anyone has built or seen a system where you use the injectors after the high pressure pump as well.

I believe you will find that injectors only function at 200psi or less...so, downstream installation will be a no-go.

On my self serve pumping equipment the injector is on the inlet side of the pump. I also have a Generant water regulator on the inlet to lower the incoming water pressure so the injector will draw chemical.
