Building Overhead Manifolds, Any tips ?

Any secrets or tips for low pressure overhead boom manifolds ?

I realize its just a bunch of fittings and check valves but is there a method to the madness ?

Best check valves for the job ?
Certain pipe fitting material that works better ?
Any photos of how it should look ?

Brass will last a while with most chemicals, but stainless is pretty much forever. It's not a big deal until five years from now in August you have to crawl into an attic and replace a tire cleaner fitting. You can buy stainless steel fittings from dultmeier for pretty reasonable prices.
