One of the best business decisions I've ever made was to incorporate my business.
I recommend a book called "Inc. and Grow Rich". While I have not grown rich yet, I have benefitted greatly by incorporating.
When I started my car detailing business in 1996, I asked my former bookkeeper if I should incorporate. She said no and that it was of no benefit and too complex, etc. I operated that way for many years and made little money in business and paid what felt like a large amount in tax each year.
She was wrong and gave bad advice. I will leave the numbers crunching up to you; it's all laid out very well in the book I suggested. Make your own decisions, of course. But for me, I know I would no longer be in business if I had stayed the course as a sole proprietor.
