Fellow Operators who rely on their surveillance cameras,

Here is a demo of an extension to the SketchUp software. Just in case some of you have played with the SketchUp 3D Modeling Software.

Quote: "Axis Camera Extension is a free tool for SketchUp that provides 3D CAD camera models with interactive functionality to visualize the camera’s coverage in your SketchUp model"

Correct me if I am wrong ... but even if you do not use Axis cameras ... this could potentially be useful ... since the demo even mentions a "Generic Camera" feature.

I am not sure about the learning curve involved ... so as not to hype it too much.

That's pretty cool.... I usually hate setting up stuff like that though. You have to get all your measurement etc. I would assume axis prices are reasonable now so you could probably purchase there products? But you could find comps easily.... your right.
