I can not get my pressure to increase on my 310 cat pump. It won't go more then 1100.I have changed tip ,new gun, tighten belt, new unloader(nut type),I can decreases pressure with unloader but can not increase more then 1100.I have ,a 2504 tip on now but if I put on 2505 I can not get more then ,900 psi. I have had some pressure problem but easy fix usually like unloader or dirty tips..... I usually run pressure at 1200psi but at time and increase due to dirty quads.

Sounds like something with the unloader or balancing valve. Its stuck bypassing more than needed. That's why it drops to 900 with the 05. Because it should bypass less to keep 1,000 but it's stuck.... Otherwise the pump is weak, slipping belt, or restriction on suction side.

SW Indiana melon fields.
Check to see if other bays are weeping when this one is running. My bet is that you have a bad check valve and part of your water is going out to other bays via the weep system or possibly sfr.

You may also have something wrong with the pump. Is it running smooth?

Pump smooth runs good but my wand drips when pump is not running and when I turn off water to pump dripping from wand stops.valves? Would that affect my control of pressure prob? I changed all 6 valves about 6 months ago and did all new tip,new gun, unloader, tighten belt...

The valves and seals in the pump should be tight enough to keep it from dripping from the wand as long as the tank that supplies it isn't more than a couple feet higher than the wand. If you have only one bay dripping like that, your problem is likely with the pump. Inspect the valves and the o-rings on them, and if that doesn't fix the pressure problem inspect or change the seals.

Did it just all the sudden do this.. Were the motor or pulleys recently changed affecting the rpm? . I'm sure you checked for leaks in the attic first off..

I hope you inspected the valve bores for wash out. If you didn't you might have the same problem soon. If the head or the valve bores are washed out replacing the "O" rings won't fix the problem.

See "Sticky" in this forum to see what wash out looks like. Randy's right. New seals won't last long if you have a washed out head.
