I need the transmitting photo eye for my overhead door. Anybody have a good source for these? How do I know which one? When I go to their website I get very confused!

You can try astromatic. Check the color of the wire. One side is grey and one side is black. When I get a new one from ryko it still had the part number on the bag. I have been able to get mine locally from a company called Kaman bearing. They have locations throughout the country. That has been my cheapest scource.

The black cable is the receiver. Gray cable is transmitter. I have some newer style amps , they have lights to show what eye is the problem.

GV does have a quite a selection of sensors. Usually the biggest difference is measuring distance.

We use part numbers MOFR-M14-8 for receiver & MOFT20-M14-8 for transmitter.

They are on LW 4000's , Washworld HV's.

Lag is right the newer amps will tell you which one is the problem, but 90% of the time it is the receiver that goes out. No good sources that i have found so the few receivers i have bought were probably close to or over $100 from what i remember. Try calling airlift and see if they will sell one, or help with your problem.

I should have mentioned... We have been able to buy only the receiver eye, in the past, from Airlift. We change 4 receivers for every transmitter we have go bad..

I had a reciever but not the transmitter. Turned out to be the amplifier. Of course now that my doors and heater are fixed it's 60 degrees outside.
