purchased coleman combos and 2 are carpet /vac's. the houston area only gets to freezing about 11 times a year. we are 50 miles south from the spot that they record. there is an artic front coming and we will be down in the 20's for about 3-4 days. all my tubing is insulated and weep works. first time installing antifreeze to foambrush and pre-soap. i drained the carpet soap from the vac's but wanted to know, can you mix the carpet soap also with the antifreeze fluid? i believe, but don't know for sure that the heater pad is working. the liquid in the hose will not stay hot as it sits. i was worried about the hose freezing and the line breaking. thank's

The Coleman combo that I have blows down the hose. I have never had any issue with freezing and use summer shampoo year round. You could just fill it with winter shampoo if you're really worried about it. I'm in central KY and it's been below freezing for the last few days with no relief in sight.

I use the winter formula shampoo (In Chicago. Won't se temps above 20 now for a while. ) If you drained the shampoo you may just want to put in winter formula a gallon at a time for a while and then use regular shampoo starting in a couple of months.
