First, sorry I have been away so long. Still haven't gotten my legal issues settled. 2 years, 2 months, 18 days but who is counting. LOL

My shampooer looks like the liquid is running in reverse of the flow out of the pump. Would a blocked line cause this? I unplug the line going out and it flows freely, look the lines and you can see the liquid running back up into the pump.

TIA Hope to be contributing more soon.

Mike, It's good to hear from you! I was thinking a few days ago about some of the old regulars who haven't posted in a while, you, cebo, jeff B, Crowe, etc...

Regarding your question: I think I had this problem myself. IIRC it was the foot valve in the jug. It looked like it was just pushing the same air bubble very slooooow (not making any real progress) toward the tank. If I put my thumb over the foot valve it would start to go in the right direction but stop when I took my thumb off.

Thanks Eric. Excpet the old part. LOL. I have played and played with that foot valve. I had it working, then it stopped. Okay, I will spend the $5 on a new one. I will let you know. How was your winter? Best one for us in 3 years.

The tubing in the pump goes bad over time - usually the rollers are always pinching at some point and prevent anything from flowing back. The "foot valve" is just a weighted screen and has no valve in it.
