all over the place
Hi all,
I've got all 5CP2120W pumps in my plant room. Can I just replace them with 310 pumps without any problems? I can't really see much of a difference. Why would a SS manufacturer choose one over the other anyway? Thanks & cheers Justclean.

SW Indiana melon fields.
The 310 is probably more reliable and has a long track record. The 5CP is easier to service and does not require a special tool to remove the seals, whereas the 310 does. The 5CP also has a lifetime warranty against washout on the original head, which would be a plus from a marketing side. It's pretty much a wash. Swapping between the models usually is just a bolt-in job, no modifications needed. That being said, I have swapped out all of mine over the years and replaced them with Arimitsu.

Gotta agree with I.B.
One of my original Cat 530s cratered last year (too light be be a boat anchor).
I swapped it with a Arimitsu 516 and am a happy camper...no mods needed to the pump station when using their rail kit!
I believe the 310 conversion uses their model 313 and rail kit.
