Cat pump Overload trip outs

Have you checked all 3 legs with an amp meter? If so the the overload may be geting weak. Have you checked the wires on the top and bottom to make sure they are not loose, also check the contacts to make sure they look good.

Shut off the power, then check all wire connections between the breaker panel and the motor starter. Then check all connections between starter and motor.

On more than one occasion I have seen a loose wire connection cause motor overload tripping - Especially on larger motors, and where vibration might be a factor.

Also, double check the adjustment for the overload. It should be set a little higher than the full load amps for the motor.

Check the amperage draw while running full pressure - A partially plugged nozzle combined with a regulator set too high can cause increased running amperage.
