Anyone head from Jim Gosnell? He is near some extraordinary flood damage in North Carolina. I understand many roads are closed and cell service is spotty in the Hendersonville area.
@Greg Pack , was pretty rough here in Columbia, SC, but from my understanding, you can’t get into or out of Asheville, NC. I-40 at the TN - NC line had the road wash away and I-26 in Erwin, TN had all 4 lanes wiped out. Going to be a huge mess for a long time.

Texted APW this morning and they have trees down at the house and they live in a rural area and will likely be without power for weeks.
I am blown away by the damage caused by torrential rain in places in North Carolina that are several hour drive from the ocean. A couple of small towns have been essentially destroyed. Pictures of chimney rock NC are pretty devastating. Some towns are cut off due to road destruction as Fatboy mentioned.
Jim Gosnell just replied and asked me to post to the forum. He says they are okay, but all power is knocked out. Spotty cell service, but they are setting up mobile cell sites so they can text. They got 24" of rain and everything is flooded. It may be a week or more before power is restored and they can resume operations.
