Does anybody use the clear curley hose in an outside bay? How long will it last in direct sunlight? I have 3/8 curley hoses in-bay and they have lasted over 3 years with no issues. I am planning on taking the Pre-soak off the HP gun and giving it a gun of its own. Just haven't decided on the best hose to use. Standard 3/8 air hose lasts about 2 years outside on the FB before the UV gets to it. Just wondering about the clear curley hose with pre-soak running through it.

Usually black colored plastics are the UV resistant ones. Look into the what the hose is made of... I doubt the clear would last.
Have had the clear curly hose for tri-foam wax gun for about 5 or 6 years. Most are just now starting to become more yellow and brittle. However, less sun up here in the northwest, and air not dry. I'm happy with the life I have gotten out of these.
My braided HP hoses are the ones that I can't get any life out of due to cracking near the guns. Protectors help somewhat.

I've had good luck with the curly hoses on my tri-foam guns, but they are inside the bays. Are any of yours outside in direct sunlight? My truck/semi bay is completely uncovered and gets about 10 hrs a day of direct sunlight. This is the bay that I'm concerned on what type of hose to use. It will have a boom of its own, maybe I should use 1/4" HP hose and be done with it....

You could extend life by rotating the hoses either by inverting them or switching hoses to a different bay.

I tried a clear curly hose in my outside truck bay ,it lasted one season.My truck bay is only open 6 months a year due to it being Montana.I use single braid wire hose and the only issues are when it gets hooked by a tall stack.
