I have a coinco vantage that is out of service, it is 18 months old and was in for service once already last august.
Right now it is signaling 1 yellow flash, which means "clean unit".

I wiped off all the sensors with a new dry microfiber cloth, that didnt help so I tried a q-tip with isopropyl alcohol, that didnt help either.

Before I send this in for service, anybody have any suggestions what else might cause this and/or what/where to clean?

Additional info:
It is installed in a self serve bay
Approx 2000 bills have run through this bill acceptor
It was clean to begin with, the cloth & qtip did not pick up any significant dirt at all.
The whole thing looks clean to me, pretty much looks like new.
I am unaware of any water issues, and cannot detect any evidence that it ever got wet

Paul,

I wonder if Coinco Vantage tech support might understand that it would be another problem such as a bad sensor involved ... just thinking outloud. We were very satisfied when we recently sent a couple of our 10 Vantages to St. Louis for corrective action. They did not have to but ... they were very gracious on not being overly strict on the time part of our warranty ... for which we are very appreciative.
