Coleman hanna splash and dash

Dows anyone know anything about the splash and dash self contained self serve bay from hanna? I got pricing today from them and it runs 10,500 - 11,600 depending on configuration. But all you have to do is run water and 220 to it. All pumps and chems etc are inside the stainless box. I have a 3/1 touchless site that this might be a nice addition to, giving trucks another self serve option instead of having to wait for my one ss bay to open. I just wonder what the local government would say about having a self serve bay not located over a drain.

I think you stumbled onto the answer. Apartment complexes are putting in similar units here in FL, and they are all illegal. You simply can not have a wash operation where the waste water runs to the storm drain instead of the sanitary sewer. And putting in a drain would make matters worse, as then the rain would help flood the sewer plant. BTW, you can make your own one bay pressure wash operation a lot cheaper than the prices you mentioned..

I agree with Mac. Thing is government likes housing developments (property taxes), carwash not so much. So, most agencies turn blind eye to apartment wash.

However, try doing it as commercial carwash and you might be run out of town. LOL

One way around this is to lay down containment mat. Mat comes with portable sump pump to recover waste water. Discharge to wand bay pit.

Adds more cost plus it would be a hassle everyday.
