Coleman Hannah RO pump replacement?

I will start this by saying I’m a dumb ass! I had a minor leak (water dripping) from the supply line coming from the storage tank to the RO Delivery pump. I forgot to open the valve back after working on this repair, causing the pump to burn up. The motor still turns but delivers no water to the bays. Looks like I am replacing the pump.

Anyone know of a supplier to purchase a new one? And can I just replace the pump and reuse the motor? TIA for all the feedback/guidance on this!

I'm assuming that you have the bigger system with a multi stage booster pump. You can buy a replacement pump at Kleen Rite or somewhere like Zoro. They can be rebuilt but unless you are mechanically proficient I wouldn't attempt it, especially if the pump has some age on it.

Which pump/motor do you have? Got any pics? You can potentially re-use the motor and just replace the pump. I have extensive experience with this.

Most likely you did burn it up. Car wash superstore or kleen rite has them. There’s a slim chance you may be lucky and it’s just air locked. Pull the discharge hose off and start the pump and see what you get.

You can get a whole new pump/motor (Sta-Rite HPS10E) or you can get the rebuild kit (Sta-Rite P325-439), both from Kleen-Rite.

Blanco also makes a good point, it could be just air locked, but I wouldn't recommend turning the pump on until you've purged all the air from the stack. You can disconnect the discharge line and manually engage the inlet solenoid valve to use the gravity of the RO water in your storage tank to purge the air.

Yep…lesson learned ….we had similar issue years ago…..luckily caught it pretty quick so no damage. Ever since I hang a big sign to remind me!
