I'm interested if anyone else has an issue with their WW2.0's throwing a "gantry motion alarm" which is a "no motion detected while motor running" alarm.
I have replaced gantry can eyes (measurement eyes), wheel proxes, checked gauging on prox distance, checked input & outputs at gantry cards. all test out fine. measurement eye turns on and off as meant too. track counts come back positive, Voltage all correct. All eyes are set to proper frequencies and test off properly.
the really odd thing is that i am starting to get the same "alarms" on 4 different bays. in 1 bay i can run a 6 pass recipe no problem but with an 8 pass recipe this would happen on the end of the 7th pass. the gantry would not stop at the end of the vehicle, continue to the end of track and then shut down as it was beginning the final pass. Then, i get the alarm. I do see that the gantry does not begin to slow down as it approaches the end of the vehicle for which i have set at a (15) count. Normally this would tell me that it is a measurement issue (either measurement eyes or wheel proxes) but all are good. It almost seems like its an issue with the programming from the red lion not being sent except, everything else is working great. Slowing my gantry speed on pass 7 has worked around the issue but not fixed it.
Any input would be appreciated. thanks

Just some suggestions here

Check the home and end of track proxes- doubtful this is the problem but if the home prox sticks on I think it will pop this error.

Temporarily change the slow speed on your VFD to 70 and run a wheel test at the faster speed to see if it still passes the test. The wheel proximity switches can be tricky to adjust, especially if you are using aftermarket proximity switches. If they are too close at faster speeds it doesn't recognize the drop in signal and can pop this error. If they are too far away the PLC can't pick it up either at high speed. I always do my wheel tests at 70..

Check gantry speed VFD settings. I have one unit that was getting these motion alarms and found the common issue was the last blower pass on extra long vehicles and the speed was ultra slow. I took a stopwatch and discovered the gantry motion alarm will occur if the pass isn't completed in 60 seconds. I checked VFD settings and it has been set to 20's . When the wheels were brand new it worked but as the wheels wore down a bit it just couldn't quite make it home in time from a full track run before the alarm tripped.

I've got a Coleman Facebook group for help. As you know factory support is now pretty bad so we are relying on each other for help. I sent a PM with the link.
