Ok, i own 1 wash now that I run American changers and dispense $1 security tokens and i absolutely love them.

I am buying another wash that has a hamilton changer that dispenses quarters. The current Changer Only has 1 hopper/validator etc installed as pictured. All the parts are there and operate to do the other side as pictured, current owner just doesn't use it as they frequent the facility multiple times daily and refill as needed and felt by having 2 units drew more attention to a potential break in or stringing attempt.

What i want to do is as follows.
1. Convert existing changer to dispensing tokens only valued at $1 each. (I will be converting coin acceptors to accept both the tokens and "customer supplied" quarters.)
What would be required to do this?
2. I would like to use the side that is blanked out to dispense tokens when they swipe a credit card (cryptopay) for a predisposed amount (say $15 but they get 1 or 2 free tokens)

Any recommendations? Is this even possible with this changer?

Attached are also pictures of what i currently do at my current wash left changer is CC only Right Changers are Cash Only. I'm just trying to not buy new changers from the get go if i can make this work for now and give it a face lift with some new decal.

What you want to do is doable. To take your tokens and customer supplied quarters you’re going to have to install a multi-coin acceptor. You’ve got a few choices as to which coin acceptor to use. I like Slugbusters and Micro-coin QL coin acceptors. I don’t recommend any of the IDX products.

The bill changer is easy to convert to tokens. All you have to do is make sure your token is sized correctly to the Hopper payout wheel and then change the payout settings on the C-2000 controller. What size token are you using? The left side of the changer you can add a credit card reader something like a Nayax or a Cantaloupe ePort reader. You could install the credit card over the blanket that is currently installed. At the same time replace the face panel with one that says “TOKEN” it’ll make the changer look like new, the newer graphics look a lot better than the one that’s installed now.

If you are using a Hamilton validator I’d also suggest going to a Mars validator, not the Talos.

Randy im good with the coin acceptors etc. I just havent messed with a hamilton changer since about 2005, and wasnt sure about the conversion process on it.

SO
1. New pay out wheel since my tokens will be larger than Quarters. 1.073" x .075" is the token size
2. changing the pay out settings on the controller.
3. I will be installing cryptopay on it. Any experience on where to wire that into? or just use a splitter harness into the validator?
