I just purchased some "Advertised" 50w 4400 lumen corn cob bulbs direct shipped from China. I wanted to try them in the fixtures above my vacs...The bulbs have 165 SMD chips "Supposed" rating of 100-130 lumen per watt. So doing the research up front on the chips, I thought I was safe in ordering.

When I got the bulbs, I put one in a fixture and plugged it in to my Kilowatt meter. It only drew 16.4w, not 50w. Not even 1/3rd of the rated output...Needless to say the light output wasn't 4400 lumen either. Since most LED lights come from China anyway, I thought it would be ok and worth the risk...Not this time..... Beware and be prepared to open a dispute if you decide to get these bulbs or similar. They were purchased through DHGATE.com...Kinda like a China Ebay. So I do have a mediator. I'll let you know how it turns out.
