Counterfeit Bills

So there has been a lot of counterfeit bills in the area. They are washing the print of the bill and then reprinting with larger denominations, but still do $5 $10 $20. Just because those bills wouldn't get scrutinized enough. Now I got about 25 Mars validators at my wash. How would those bills read? They are also buying the movie money and trying to do that now too.

What area are you in? The Mars validators read the bills optically, looking at the fine lines in the printing on the bills. What exactly they are looking for is secret information. The last counterfeit $20 bill was a really nice one and it wouldn't work in any of the bill validators. You should be OK with the Mars validators.

Thanks Randy. The cops are saying that they are "washing" the bill, ie removing the ink. Then printing another denomination on that bill. Using small bills reduces the amount of detection, but also put it in the area of the bills we accept.
