Thinking about adding cc for my 4 ss bays. Wondered if anyone had any idea what kind of cost I might be looking at to do this . We already have high speed internet so that would not be needed. Thought it may be a good investment as I figured people would spend more and the other wash in town does not have it. Thought???

Cryptopay is who most use. There are a few others that guys really like. Cryptopay is $00 per bay & a coordinator that is $400 & will read all your swipers.

Cryptopay is the easiest and least expensive to add to an existing wash, but the fees are fairly high. I would still use and recommend it when adding to an existing wash, but I'd probably go with Wash Gear and incorporate it cleanly into the equipment if building new.

I just added cryptopay into my 3 bays. I set it up with count up and a $12 max. Works great!! I average about $6 per transaction.

yes I have a $3 minimum for CC. I am 23 seconds a quarter.

also not sure what timers you are using but you will need to upgrade to dixmor LED 6 or 7s for the count up function.

Cryptopay is easy to install and inexpensive to buy. The equipment is minimal and there is no server that stores card info on it. It does not have many features though compared to other systems. We looked at Wash Card and it had some pretty awesome features but the price was nuts. Since you are adding a feature in the bay you can raise your prices to cover the equipment and the fees.

1 auto, 3 SS bays, and 2 vacs with all the features we wanted was over $20K. There is more equipment involved and the install is more complex but it appeared superior to Cryptopay. Maybe someday we can justify it.

We have a min Cryptopay amount of $5 whereas cash is $3 but give the customer more time so everything is the same rate - customers like the new system and do not have an issue with the higher starting price as we post all the costs. Definitely increases average sales per wash and worth the 4.3% cost.

One more thing I want to mention about Cryptopay is that the swipers are finicky about some cards. I'm guessing it won't read about 1 in 10 cards or at least it must be swiped a whole bunch of times for it to take. Do you guys notice this issue?
Yes, I have this same problem at both locations. We clean the swipers weekly or daily if we notice customers card not working and it doesn't make a difference.
