We have a Mark VII fluid module for our SS which houses the hot and cold water holding tanks. Recently while isolating a float valve on the hot tank we drained tank and with no bays in service the cold water level dropped also but at a much lower rate. The only cross connect I can think of is through the 3 way valves for each bay which select either hot or cold rinse. I wonder if one of those is leaking by. Any other ideas or tips on cross over points and determining which valve is may be leaking? The rinse on all bays is cold--ie no noticeable mix with hot water.

Thanks,

Ted

A bad 3-way valve is the likely culprit. If any one of them doesn't seat 100% it will allow flow between the tanks. You could find it by lowering the water level in the cold tank and then check the lines from the pumps - whichever is leaking will have a warm hose on the cold supply side.
