So i called cryptopay the other day to update my credit card wash down info and there was no answer, i kept getting a machine. I had to do the live chat to reach anyone, which i hate, and it sucked and was slow, but i asked why no one answered the phone but someone is available right away for live chat. He told me they dont answer the phone there anymore at all and they want everyone to leave a message which they will then return. i hate live chat and i hate companies with bad tech support.
On a second note, they updated my wash down card info but told me they are not adding anymore credit cards as wash down cards. For those that dont know you can register your own, or employees, regular personal credit cards with cryptopay and they wont be charged when they are used to turn on equipment. Cryptopay calls them wash down cards. Now cryptopay has crwated an "attendant card", this card is to be given to attendants to turn on cryptopay connected equipment. But they cost $5 each and are sold in packs of 5 for $25. So now i have to pay cryptopay to test my swipers or turn on my equipment.
THe cards sound good, as you can control them, and turn them on and off, and i think restrict use of them, but how long will they last before wearing out? And you are not allowed to use them for anything other then attendants, so you cant give them away or sell them, or cryptopay will shut them off. I wish they woukd create cryptopay gift cards or giveaway cards etc.... but $5 each? They might be worth it if i could sell them to local business to use and i could bill them monthly, but that would eat into cryptopays fleet program revenue.....
i would love to be able to pay $1 per card and restrict their use to specific equipment, i would buy hundreds and give them away, i would restrict the use of them to vacuums on slow days, like mondays, or tuesdays, hopefully attracting wash business on slow days. You could even use them as a "wash anytime" monthly deal for self serve bays, i could automatically charge a flat fee monthly on credit card renewal and give the customer one of these cards restricted to my self serve bays...... i can think of a million things they could do but they keep restricting everything....
