CyrptoPay and CC Scammers?

Has anyone heard of card skimmers being used on CryptoPay swipers? A customer called with an issue associated with their CC shortly after using one of our bays according to a call I received. If anyone has info and does not want to post online please PM me. Thank you. Jordan

Are you asking about a skimmer device that is put over the swiper? I have not heard of that and was under the impression that those usually are put over the insert type readers and not the swipe through like Cryptopay. Also it doesn't seem that it would not start the bay if swiped if there was a skimmer. Because the card info is encrypted at the swiper I doubt it would be very easy to intercept the wireless signal and be able to do anything with the info. Did you log into Crytopay and look at that person's transaction? You also might consider calling Cryptopay about it too.

I have the same impression as you. Charge amount was correct. I wonder if the customer was concerned due to the pending or hold charge that is used until the actual transaction is posted. I am checking with company and checking the bay sited but doubt it is an issue on our end. Could be another place and timing was bad for us. If I hear of anything I will alert the forum but do not expect anything to
Come from this customer call. With WP being purchased maybe it was a backend maintenance issue.
