D/H Vendmaster Problem

Hey guys, I just bought my first self serve car wash and we love the industry. I've silently sat and watch and learned a lot from this forum. For that, I thank you.

I'm stumped with an issue on my vendmaster. It will only take $2.00 in cash or only take $2.00 in coins. It won't take anything else over $2.00. My highest priced items is $4.00. The cassette is an AB type, only holding quarters and then some nickels. I've failed to load the nickels which has the machine requiring exact change. So, how do I get my machine to take more than $2.00? Is it because I haven't loaded nickels?

I sincerely appreciate any feedback on the issue at hand. To reiterate, this forum is awesome!

So when you press your $4 item does it say $4 on the display? The unit can vend to around $99 I believe? Try reprogramming the $4 items also.

Cwguy, yes it says $4. I'm playing it safe and sending it to S Thomas and Associates to have the circuit board repaired and/or updated.
