D&S 5000 Car Wash In Use Error

Hello All. Have a D&S 5000 that works well for 10 to 15 washes but then the auto cashier will display "Wash in use". Powering down the car wash control panel and then powering it back on fixes it until it creeps up again.

Anyone run in to this problem before? There was some dirt around the treadle and I thought maybe that was causing it but after cleaning the dirt the problem still remains.

i would check your floor switch first. then wiring to floor switch. then relay ( mine are chiclet type) for floor switch.

That can be caused by a few things, but if the wash finishes up normally with the exit light coming on and going off after the customer leaves, it's more likely not getting the inhibit pulse from the auto cashier. There's no automatic timeout on the D&S 5000 so if someone pays and can't get into the bay for whatever reason then leaves and someone else pulls up and pays, it will do what you describe. If you're there and watching it just randomly occur with no drive-offs, stat with the inhibit relay and circuit.
