I’ve done the same thing but I turned the lock upside down.
This way makes it harder for someone to mess around with the lock.

I always turn the disk locks with the keyhole down to discourage kids from picking up crap and cramming it into the keyhole.

I used those same hasps. Going on a year with no break-ins, but my hyenas tend to be lazy and don't carry crow bars.

I have so many different people getting in them that you just don't know. Current batch try to close the doors after they finish, but do it wrong so it's pointless. Guess we'll see. If it survives the weekend, I'll do 3 more, than the rest if we make it that far.

I had one of those hasps on a truck toolbox. Someone was able to use the lock as a lever to snap off the hasp. I thought it would be much harder to break since the hasp turns.
