One of our self serve washes uses mostly dilling harris equipment. Not fun considering the history of the company. Im actually pleased with the way the equipment works, but fixing problems is always an issue considering most of the equipment is obsolete. So i have this one meter box that is the electronic pushbutton style and today the whole bay shut down while a customer was washing and the led readout on the meterbox says FAIL. I have never had this problem, and dilling harris is closed until Monday and im just curious if anyone else has these things and maybe knows what this means? I have tried cycling the power to the unit several times but as soon as it comes back on it says FAIL again and nothing works. There is power to everything, the cryptopay will accept payment but it wont take quarters or dollars. And it wont turn in even after triggered by cryptopay. Im thinking maybe it is an internal problem with the timer but there arent very good manuals out there. Can anyone help?

You're not screwed if it fails. I've been retrofitting two washes with pushbuttons because the control boards are failing. I clean off the decal, cover the holes with tape on the front and fill them from the back with JB Weld, then drill a hole for the rotary switch, drill and tap holes for mounting a Dixmor timer (I use long #6 screws which I secure with more JB weld then grind off the head) and apply a rotary decal. The Dixmor timer and switch together cost less than either the board or the digital display.

Update, D&H says it could be either the timer board or the waterbuster board which when it gets wet shuts down the bay. He says it was a terrible design that instead of just shutting off power until dry, it usually leads to the waterbuster board itself shorting out and needing to be bypassed. I got in to work this morning after the bay being closed for 2 days and the entire thing had reaet itself and was back to working just fine. Lucky me i guess..... until next time it decides to go on the fritz..... thanks for the advice though, now i know how to correct it when it does go.

I'm having the same problem with mine saying " FAIL". When I reset it the time reads 3:00 then 4:45 then FAIL. The bay has been down for almost 2 weeks and finally got everything else fixed but now getting the FAIL. It wasn't doing that when I closed it. I'm having a hard time finding the waterbuster, is it the little circuit board wrapped in heat shrink?

I was told it was in the same box as the timer board. Yes itnis heat shrunk. Pm me and i will send you the info D&H sent me for how to bypass it. If your timer is bad you will need to convert the door like the other poster said...
