I've just returned to work for the distributor I worked for before, and we're looking for a good IBA line to sell/install (both touchless and friction). Best would be someone who will honor exclusivity to their vendors.

If I planned to sell to petroleum market, I would choose Ryko or PDQ.

If private investor market, Autec, Washworld, Belanger, PDQ would come to mind.

I would also consider carrying multiple brands because consolidation is forcing more OEM’s to sell direct, exclusivity with in-bay market is fading.

Evidence, who is building self-service carwash?

Might be hard to meet your needs. Not many companies give exclusives anymore. Probably will have to settle on one that gives you first rights to a customer that you have made contact with. Most companies will honor that. Will probably have to share leads from the company as well. Check around in your area to see if there is a distributor that is not doing a good job selling or servicing units in your area. Manufacturers are always looking to improve representation in an area. Good luck.

WashWorld has 4 Distributors alone in a small state like mine NC. They don't protect there distributors as good as PDQ from what I have seen & heard. Just saying but I like both for touchless. I cant speak for friction I would look at McNeil for that. I don't know. Good luck though I would buy from you MEP if you where in my neck of the woods.
