Send it to them for repair, it won't cost much.

If it only lights up when the dryer is on, it's wired with a simple jumper to start the countdown. You might check to be sure that connection is tight.

I have had a couple of these display timers do the same thing when connected in a similar way to a Washworld Automatic. There is a small resistor on the circuit board which is burned out. The fix was a wiring change from Washworld, and to send the board for repair to Dixmor. Dixmor replaced the resistor and updated the software, which allows it to work correctly with the wiring change. Basically the way Washworld and Dixmor originally specified the wiring forced a very small resistor to handle an excessive amount of power - Eventually burning out the resistor.

This was a problem I had about 4 years ago on 3 different machines.

Not sure what brand of automatic you have but I occasionally have problems with the dixmore timers that my Ryko auto use. Dixmore fixes them for a small fee. About 1/2 the time it is the timer and 1/2 the time it is wiring somewhere else in the system.

IIRC The countdown timer is just that. It has no timed output function. I don't know how your system is set up but it sounds like you have a bad connection on your dryer output circuit on your IBA. I imagine it is possible that a bad timer could be placing a load on it and causing the problem interference, but don't know for sure. Somewhere in your auto should be a circuit that sends a signal to both the dryer panel and countdown timer. I would check all connections thoroughly, If nothing is found I then would disconnect the timer circuit to see if the dryers started working correctly again

I just sent my spare timer in to dixmore and they got it fixed and returned in just a couple of days with the fix being under $100 also. They are just a great company to work with.

Everywhere, Jesus Red. There is a link from the banner under the navbar, its on every page of the forum and a banner above the classifieds on the home page.

You are working way too hard.

But if you miss all of them:

Thanks, by any chance do you know where I left my car keys? lol

I swear I looked up there 6 times and the link wasn't there. I'm not sure what my eyes were looking for but they didn't see it.

I took a speed reading class years ago and I tend to scan text looking for the first word - when "consumer" wasn't it, I was lost.

Yeah, I think I'll go with that.
