just like it says. I have turned the power off for 10 minutes plus and it still comes up closed. I think I left the timer running but it has always reset before. Thoughts?

John, have you tried unhooking the coin signal wire from your coin acceptor? I had an issue like that a while back, and if memory serves me right, the coin mech was sending a continuous signal to the DX2000 timer. If it is easier, unhook it on the wiring harness in the timer, which would be #5 on the harness

Fatboy is right, it will read "CLOSED" when there's a problem in the coin wiring, either a short across some terminal or the acceptor itself is bad. It's a smart feature to help prevent customers from losing money.

It would have to be jammed with the coin switch held in the down position, but who uses coin mechs in self-serve bays anymore?

Thanks for the tips guys. There was a wire that was jumpered up to the dx that had been cut in all the other bays. Once I cut that wire, back to normal. Just another thing learned....ACF is awesome.
