So our illustrious president criticizes the auto execs for flying to DC in a private jet, instead of driving I guess. These guys were excoriated, eviscerated even. Then the other day B. Hussain Obama has his personal jet fly over New York to have nice pictures taken. Probably so he can send them to his half brother living in the mud hut. That cost was given as $370,000, not counting the two fighter escorts. Priceless.

Remember the "Golden Rule" Mac. Those with the Gold, make the rules. Even if you have to go in debt to get the gold.

There's nothing like spending your way out of debt!

A little far to the left if you ask me.

If the press is to be believed, it wasn't Obama who had the planes flying over New York.

It's only Air Force One if the President is on it, in fact any plane he's on is "Air Force One." The plane that was flown over New York and New Jersey was the back-up to the main one that is usually called Air Force One.

It was Louis E. Caldera, director of the White House Military Office, who approved the project, supposedly unknown to Obama. He was quoted as "furious" when he heard about it.

It was supposed to be a photo op, and the FAA was notified, but not any officials of New York.

So my point remains unanswered. Even though Obama says he was furious, he was furious because he was susposedly out of the loop, not because his staff wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars to get a picture. It is hard to believe that some staffer could authorize a plane with the presidential seal on it buzz New York city with two fighters tailing it.

545 vs. 300,000,000

EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red

If the our military is in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible.

They and they alone, have the power.

They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Flyover

The White House blows $370k for what could otherwise be done with Photoshop for a couple of bucks.

The President issues a statement announcing he's furious at the public scare and waste of money. The press buys it hook, line, and sinker.

If George Bush was in office, the questions would be:

Why did the President waste the taxpayer's money?
If he truly didn't know what was going on, does this mean the President has lost control of White House operations?

Definitely a true double standard here. If people called Reagan the Teflon President I imagine Obama is the Teflon II President. I can't believe the current honeymoon can last but who knows?

We haven't seen anything yet. He is paying off the unions with more than half of Chrysler, and more than half of GM. I don't know of any business that the unions have ran successfully, so the banks that the government has nationalized will continue to give the car companies more and more money just like Freddie and Fannie.

More fun to come.
