Wirhout getting too technical the answer is yes but not as hot as in a colder climate and depending on the type of wash and weather conditions. Hot or warm water accelerates cleaning. Ever try washing dirty or greasy hands with cold water? To make is work even slightly better you need to rub your hands together quickly. Along with the friction you are creating heat that assists in the cleaning.

If you have a friction wash you probably can use warm water unless the ambient temperature of the vehicle gets below 45 to 50 degrees. At that point you may want to increase the water temperature. If you have a touch free wash you probably need hot water in your presoak or presoaks which should allow you to use a little less chemical. This is especially true after a rain which makes more road soils end up on the vehicle creating a more difficult cleaning scenario. In weather above 95 degrees you may switch to warm water depending on the chemicals you are using.

I think the over/under on this is the comparative small cost for hot water versus not wanting to be sub-par compared to a competitor. If hot water is fairly cheap and your competitor has it but you don't, that's not a place where I would like to be. In a warm climate, hot water isn't that expensive.

btw, the Taft airport is a nice one. I've landed there numerous times back during my pre-car-wash career. Other than being bumpy on approach on hot summer days, that is.
