I never was interested in getting a hybrid because customers only see it as a friciton machine and the menus can get too confusing offering touch, touchfree and combo washes.
Does anyone use their hybrid soley as a friction wash, with esentially an "auto prep" portion with presoak and hp before the brushes? In other words, the menu would have the usual 3-4 wash packages, with the extras being the usual ccp, underspray, trifoam, wheel cleaner etc. but every package would consist of a presoak and hp pass prior to the brushes to prep the car. This would help with bugs, difficult to reach areas, salt etc.
I know there are friction washes out there that have hp functions, but they do not have the profiling and presoak application functions that a true hybrid has. Obviously, there would be an increase in operating costs, but the price could reflect this in the proper market. I would imagine that you could get away with a lesser concentration of presoak since it would be followed with friction. You could also probably get away with a pass less with the brushes, at least on the lower end wash.
Anyone doing this? What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike
