DRB Scanners

Hello again,
Our locations have DRB systems and we are not using the scanners. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't never really got a clear answer from DRB why that was but I would like to use the scanners to eliminate some of the employee errors and possibly inventory? Does anyone have experiance with these units? I'm told that certain suppliers can give us CDs with product codes on them that are downloaded to the DRB. Does anyone know if they have to update them a lot? Is there a lot of maintaining we are not very big only have 4 locations don't want to have to hire a person to manage it but would like to know if there are benifits that I am not utilizing. Do you have site watch, tunnel watch, or car watch? We have sitewatch and use a barcode scanner for our unlimited wash passes (barcode sticker on the car) as well as prepaid wash cards and gift cards (plastic gift cards) as well as inventory. We got the wireless scanner so we can go out to the customer car and scan the barcode sticker. We have had no problems at all and do not have to do any updating. We got the scanners from DRB so there is no issue of them not being compatible.
