I sell my monthly manually in store meaning I set up the re-occurring payment in one system and the RFID in another system which is getting to be a pain. I want to get a system which can sell them at the pay station somewhat automated.

For those selling monthly at the XPT, how does that work? When do you put the sticker on? How much of the bump in membership did you see doing it at the XPT? Is it worth the upfront and on-going cost DRB charges? Can you still sell the monthly with the EMV chip cards? If the credit card fails, does it automatically deactivate and notify the customer?

We sell monthly packages outside at the terminals but we do not use DRB, we use ICS. Like you, initially, we sold our monthly packages inside at the POS. When we shifted to being able to sell them outside at the terminals themselves, we were able to sell a much larger quantity. It's hard to say exactly how much more because when we shifted to being able to sell outside we also updated pricing, etc.

The customer purchases the club outside, gets the wash, and then stops inside to fill out some paperwork and have our staff install the RFID tag in their vehicle. All customers get a copy of their signed agreement so no one can say they didn't know about any of the rules of being a club member. We have not installed EMV yet at our terminals so I can't comment on if/how that would work. If the credit card is declined, the club is automatically suspended not allow the customer to use the membership until the payment issue is resolved. For ICS, there is no automatic notification sent to the customer. The customer usually finds out when they attempt to use the club and it does not work.
