All,

From time to time my HP unloader starts dripping from the tiny hole in the the end of the handle. I usually take it apart, clean it and put it back to stop, but now nothing seems to stop it now. I have checking for damage, but it seems OK.

Is it just a case of a weakening spring, or does the whole thing need replacing.

There has to be a o-ring seal going bad. The spring controls pressure on the part of the unloader that restricts flow thru it, not into the handle area.
It probally needs to be replaced.

If you take it fully apart, you may have some debris on the seal, if you clean it out good it might fix.

hope this helps.

Its hard to work on this thing as you need to empty the tank to do a good job. So I did this time and with the help of the Giant Pump diagram, we did find a bad 'O' ring and replaced it. No more dripping!

Thanks all!
