DS 5000 cutting off on manual overide

Been having a lot of issues with the prox that drives the shaft, then had a hydrolic leak. Now that leak is fixed if I run the gantry on manual override it will go 4 or 5 feet cuts off and exit light comes on. reset and it does it again. Another new issue........ could it still be the prox? Does anyone know what to check or could it be something else. I'm trying to run this 15 year old machine to its death.

It resets because it's not getting the prox signal to the computer. You'll have to determine if it's the wheel, the prox or the umbilical cable. Can you recap everything you've done related to these things? Can you post pictures of the prox and wheel?

If you stick to one thread with this issue until it's resolved it will make it easier to follow

Thanks MEP, the encoder had a broken lock nut and was lose again. Currently rearranging furniture on the Titanic with these 15 year old machines.
