I have a DX200B on my IBA and have been having a lot of problems with it. I've sent it in to Dixmor twice in the last three months and it's still not working properly. I just talked to the guy again today and he suggests sending it in for a third time. Based on his rudeness and their inability to fix the darn thing, I'd prefer to find an alternate display rather than buy another Dixmor. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. It'd be great if it could fit into the existing enclosure (the display itself is around 7" tall by 4" wide). Thanks!

We’ve used Dixmor products for almost ever, well over 25 years and have never had any major problems with any of their products or with anyone there. Are you having the same issues every time you send it in or are you having different issues with the DX200B Timer after you get it back? How old is the DX200B Timer? I don’t know of any direct replacement Timer that will fit into the Dixmor case. It is possible to buy just board for the DX200B timer. I’d probably give Dixmor another chance to make it right. Then again it could have been damaged in shipping. UPS can be pretty hard on an item, it can be damaged and you won’t know it for weeks or sometimes months down the road.

Originally, the problem was that some of the segments of the LEDs didn't turn on. We sent it in, got it back a week or so later, and then it only shows "00" (doesn't count). They mumble something about upgrading the chip and have us send it back again. Now it's in the original condition -- it counts, but some of the segments don't light. The guy who runs the place always seems to be in a terrible mood, but last time I called he asked, "who are you and what do you want?" I think I'll take my business elsewhere.

This isn't a direct replacement, but looks like I can make it work. It's also cheaper than the Dixmor and seems to have more features:

You can buy just the DX200B board, I think the board is $325 or so. I’d still send it back and have them fix it again, then sell it as rebuilt and buy the IDX Big Time timer if your not satisfied.

After paying Dixmor and UPS to send it back twice, it seems to be a waste of time and money to send it back a third time. There's no way I'd sell it as rebuilt knowing that it doesn't work.

Check out TSS carwash signs. They sell timer displays and replacement boards.

Perfect! I just placed an order with TSS for one of their boards. Thanks a lot, Sparky!
