I need some help with your experience on switching to TSYS. I moved 3 of my 6 bays over today and have a few questions.

1. TSYS never asked me about setting up a pre-auth amount. On Blue-Pay, there would be an $11 hold on the card until the batch showed up. Is this no longer used?

2. Is there any place on TSYS' site that we can see live transactions? Before I could swipe a card and go check my transactions and see the card and the pre-auth amount. Now I only see the transaction after it batches the next day. Is this correct?

3. Is there any way to see which bay the card was used? It has always been helpful to see if one bay was not processing.

I have asked TSYS about this and they are supposed to be getting back to me. They stated in the beginning that they could do anything that Blue-Pay could do, but I'm starting to wander. If you have any input please respond or PM me your number.

Thanks,
Lighthouse.

1. The pre-auth does not work the same and it has actually ended quite a few phone calls from patrons after the fact.

2. Live batching is not a feature they support. I missed it on the first day and then didn't give it a second thought.

3. This is one that I had problems with as well...to the best of my knowledge, it is NOT possible. That would be a helpful feature in my opinion as well.

Lighthouse, John, and others,

Now that you have switched are you seeing cheaper rates? I see a few of the cons above. Have you found anymore?

Thanks,
Kirb

I switched one of my washes to TYSYS From Bluepay . I have not had any trouble with TYSYS it has worked well and they provide me with an 800 number. As far as rates go Bluepays total fees were about 11% TYSYS said they would be in the 7% range but it actually has ended up in the 9-10 % range so there is not that much in savings. To be fair though my minimum is $2.00 and I am in a rural community and they are careful with their money so I have a lot of low transactions.
