Does anyone have firsthand experience implementing Ezesys in self service bays and with vacuums? Looking at Ezesys to be able to remotely control my bays and vacs. Seeking input from people with firsthand experience with Ezesys. Thanks.
They are relay controllers from what I have read that work with an iPhone app so you control and monitor devices remotely. Challenge is to find someone with the knowledge or experience to help install the device as it is not plug and play. Requires some wiring. Still trying to get enough info and knowledge to consider installing them at my place.
If you call and talk to them they will tell you what you need and they will tell you how to wire it you would have to have very basic understanding of what you’re trying to do because they are not carwash people.
There's another company out there called ControlByWeb (www.controlbyweb.com) which has programmable devices as well. I use some of their controllers to monitor and do things around the wash. They too are not car wash people do you have to have a basic understanding of wiring relays and programming. Nothing in the car wash is turnkey as every wash is unique and we have all solved problems and created solutions based on our needs. The only thing the same about all of our washes is that we use soap and water, lol.
Yes, thanks for this info too! I am curious if they make a "pulsing" relay. That is a relay that when sent the trigger will pulse out instead of going on or off. I know they sell time delay relays but i want one that when triggered it can be set to send out a certain number of pulses for a certain amount of time. In essence it would replicate a coin or bill acceptor sending pulses to the timer to turn on. You still need some wifi device to trigger it remotely but it would then run off of whatever decice your controllings timer instead of needing a new separate timer. Otherwise i think you would use the ezesys wifi to trigger the ezesys wireless relay which would trigger a timing relay to hold power on for xxx minutes before shutting back off. I know cryptopay does something similar with their swipers. Their swipers are set to pulse out when a card is swiped and approved thereby triggering the equipments timer and running as normal. Thats what i want to do, remotely turn on the equipment using the factory timers.... is it possible?
so to run a vac remotely, would it be easier to bypass the timer on the vac and just provide power to the motors through a timing relay? maybe one that holds the power on for 3 minutes every time it is triggered before shutting off again?? and if so coukld I use the ezesys to trigger the timing relay? I assume I need the ezesys AND their wireless relay to be able to get the signal for the trigger to the vacuum??
That solution would work but it’s going to get spendy. If you can just pull out the wires to the vac and put them back in with 2 extra wires that just go to the coil on the vac then you don’t need the wireless. Just the basic controller.

Someone else told me i could do this with a rasberry pi decie, as long as the vacs get wifi signal the pi is a relay, or something like that..... im still trying to figure it all out while using as few devices possible.
