If you have to ask if we recognize him he must not be that famous :).

And no, I have no idea who he is. If he drove a racecar I could probably nail it.

Looks like Mick fleetwood of fleetwood MAC fame to me. The most famous people I can think of seeing at my washes are Pitzer and Randy from our forum. Oh yea Harrison Ford and Vin Deisel once in a while but I liked Randy and Bill more.

About 10 years ago Ricky Rudd was in town at a local grocery doing a promo for one of his sponsors. That afternoon a truck was at my wash all painted up like his racecars. Of course, this guy was the person that hauled the show cars around and I chatted with him for a while. He asked if I was going up to the store to get Ricky's autograph. I told him I wasn't and that I just wasn't much of an autograph guy. We talked about our small town a little and how nothing terribly significant goes on here. I told him that Jimmy Carter came here once, but we have never had anything as big as a Nascar driver before. He seemed to get a big chuckle out of that. BTW, I didn't make an effort to go see the pres. either.

Once did a wash and detail for Evel Knievel. He was a nice guy. While we were washing and detailing his car he went across the street and got hammered. We had Lee Marvin as a fairly regular customer. Probably the most famous person that came in several times a year was Paul Mc Cartney of the Beatles. He owned a huge ranch outside of town that he stayed at for part of the year and drove an old pick up. He dressed kind of sloppy and not many customers recognized him. Same for Lee Marvin. Evel on the other hand was almost in costume and easy to pick out.

Who is that guy in the picture?

Soapy was right; Mick Fleetwood the drummer for Fleetwood Mack.

It was a thrill for me. I didn't bug him and my wife took a picture from far away. He was there with a young boy. He seemed very down to earth and relaxed.

Looked up his tour info; they're in CT tomorrow!

The Mack!
