our Futura Millenium touchfree is stopping and getting stuck at the rear of vehicles. Problem is intermittent and has occured during both the pre soak phase and high pressure wash phase. it will sit at rear of vehicle until customer leaves in frustration and then will reset itself without any error code. it sometimes will wash 6-8 cars just fine and then problem reappears. i replaced home prox switch hoping that would solve the problem but has not solved the problem as i just got another call that it was stuck again on vehicle during presoak phase. appreciate any insight.

thanks

I have seen that happen when the hydralic pump loses pressure.

There are a number of things that can cause this. Most commonly, it is a solenoid coil going bad. There are a few solenoid valves in play here. At the end of the vehicle, the arch is trying to switch to the rear spray bars, and going into drive forward. Both controlled by solenoid valves. This is on the presoak function. When it is at the rear of the vehicle and starts to high pressure wash, the "soap" solenoid valve is coming on as well as the drive forward solenoid valve. Just a couple of things to check.

I have a 10 yr old ssa that has done this in the past. Most times it was an intermittent enter prox switch and a couple of times a wiring harness or control cable on the enter prox. A few weeks ago I had the same problem but it ended up being the exit prox coming on in the middle of the wash. The times I had it stopping at the rear it was on a long suv/truck and the enter prox was out, but I got a drive going time out.
