I am remodeling my carwash 10 bay ss and installing a laser 4000 and a wash select 2 with a POS4000 I have the potential to acquire a big fleet account of 300 cars and the customer wants to keep track of his account like monitor 24/7 to make sure none of his employees use the coupons for there personal cars. what could i tell this man i told him i could just sell him 300 coupons and he give me the money, same process for codes. What do I the operator tell him i don't know all my options and really want his bussiness. thanks if you could help, sure someone has had the same question for a customer.

I see they want to wash 300 vehicles, but are they wanting to track the washing habits of 300 employees or just the habits of a few employees who are responsible for washing the fleet?

A few employees can be tracked by giving each one a fleet account set to print each time it is used. This way you get a paper trail showing the exact date and time each code was used. With a good quality video camera and digital recorder properly set up, you can even go back and see the vehicle that was washed at that time.

If you have to track 300 employees, I would suggest looking at a system like Carolina Pride's Mercury System. That way you can give each employee a wash card that the software can track the use of and generate reports for you. This option does require the expense of adding a wash card system of some sort.

Experience shows different fleet operators have different needs.

Shared needs are high level of service, convenient location and hours of operation and billing process that eliminates abuse.

Private fleet operators prefer two levels of service; exterior-only wash and periodic interior cleaning.

Typically, fleet business is request for proposal and pricing is based on size of the fleet rather than bulk washes or wash books for set price.

A sales brochure is invaluable when soliciting business.

Clean and attractive vehicles reflect a professional company image. So, a 100% clean car guarantee is essential.

Private fleet operators pay lots more for car wash than car dealers. So, no need to give the farm away with heavy discounting.

Hope this helps.

You can simply issue him an account code. The account can be for a set amount of washes, for whatever amount you want to sell them for, and whatever wash you want it to be for. You can tell the prospective customer, that you can make it to where a receipt would be printed on the POS printer anytime the account is used. Then, you could save all of the receipts and give them to the prospective customer to review, and take any necessary action with his employees.

The other option, would be to use the Washpay system by unitec, and you can set times that the accounts are active, and/or print of the uses for the customer.
