Flo Jet Fooler

Flo Jet would not work and my guy swaps it out. New one wn't work. Gets frustrated and calls me. Star with air source to solenoid, thru solenoid, out tubing to flo jet and finaly find that when he swapped out the pump he used the quick disconnect for the brass air line fitting on the pump which is also a valve and was broken so it di not open when inserted in the pump.

First time it happened in dozens of pumps at all locations in several years.

As coincidences go, it happened a second time (another location within a month) easier to find this time. had explained the issue to all my guys as soon as the first one happened but the guy at the second location then told me he really did not understand what I was talking about until it happened.

Just so you can learn gfrom others experience.

I was replacing Flojet pumps everytime I turned around. Then installed a new air compressor with after-cooler that removes the moisture and haven't replaced one since (about 2 years ago).

old style flojet pushlok fitting

anybody know a source for the 'old' flojet style airline tubing pushlok fitting versus the 'new' style barb fitting?
I need a couple of these and can't find them.

Thanks

Are these what you're looking for?

I think the "old" ones he wants are for Parker brand Push-Lok hose and don't require a clamp.

Close...

The picture from the Sonny's catalog is what I'm looking for. I need 1/4 od tubing size and don't see that in Sonny's catalog. I've talked with Kleen Rite and Mark VII (equip supplier) and they only have the barb style for 1/4.

Funny and embarrassing......

The link to Sonny's got me to pull out the Kleen Rite catalog and low and behold there was the fitting I needed. I never looked in the catalog before for this. I just talked to Kleen Rite and got the no answer. So ... thanks guys.... I found what I needed. It's embarrassing to find it staring at me in the catalog - but then again I find nothing in the car wash business is ever simple for me.

Thanks

That's one of my biggest gripes about Kleen-Rite, they're quick to tell you they can't get something when I know for a fact they can or have before.

I usually browse the catalog to find unusual items - a lot of the oddball stuff like these fittings are difficult to impossible to pull up with their ordering site's search, and not just Kleen-Rite's.
