I'm having issues with my flo jet pump. It's a g57 and it controls my high-pressure soap and foam brush. For some reason I seem to be getting air into my Hypro pump and it's air Locking the pump. I swapped out the G57 last night with a 'rebuilt' one and it cured the problem for a while but I'm experiencing it again. It only seems to be on the hot water side when I experience the issue. If I flip over to rinse the pump works fine and there's no airlock. I checked the lines for leaks and can't find anything. I'm kind of puzzled by this. I'm going to purchase a new G57 flojet pump and see if that cures the problem, but I thought I would check the forum first to see if anybody had any suggestions.

It could be the pump failing. They will introduce air into the liquid if the diaphragm has a hole in it.

I agree with mep, could be an air leak in the diaphragm. One way I tell if my FloJet is going bad is the sound it makes, almost like a whooshing sound after each pump. It could also start getting random pumping while in use as it should be a steady pump, but when air is getting past the diaphragm you'll hear it lock up and then pump a couple times, then pause, etc.

I don't have the patience to rebuild them so I either exercise the warranty on them (1yr) and get a new one, or buy one.

I've rebuilt a few, but unless you know exactly what's wrong with it you'll end up spending as much as a new one in parts.
